The Owl 青釉褐彩·鸮尊

The main body of the Owl is made of Changsha kiln porcelain, from the color and light of the clear brown glaze to the inevitable cracks and marks that occur during the realistic firing of porcelain, and the base is made more realistic through detailed floral carving and antiquing. The Owl closes its eyes and remains still when exposed to wind and rain, unmoving, just like Mt. Tai. The world is here, and here it is thriving. In the region of Hunan, there have been many literary figures of stature and temperament, such as Zhou Dunyi, Zhang Shi and Wang Fuzhi. The image of the Owl reflects the spirit of great minds over a period of 1,000 years.

鸮尊主体采用长沙窑瓷器质地，从清釉褐彩的颜色、光感，到瓷器在真实烧制过程中出现的不可避免的细小纹裂与斑痕，底座部分通过细致的花纹雕刻、仿旧仿古处理使之更加逼真。鸮尊双目微闭，任凭风吹雨打，我也想泰山岿然不动。惟楚有才，于斯为盛。湖湘大地哺育了一群如周敦颐、张栻、王夫之等有风骨、有气象的文人才子。鸮尊的形象正是千百年来湖湘士人虚怀若谷的格局与精神的完美体现。
